John Nijhuis 24 February Dirk (van de Broek), which is a retail chain in the Netherlands, is selling MATCHBOX singles for 99 Eurocent, starting Yesterday. In my area Dirk has 4 shops at an average distance of 25 km of where we live. So yesterday I drove to the one closest to where we live and when I arrived the shop had actually Matchbox Singles for sale at 99 Eurocent. Could not believe my eyes as it is almost impossible to find Matchbox on a regular base in Holland. And not one but I noticed there were at least more or close to 100 Models. However when I started digging I found out that it was a bin full of models from the first wave of 2024! I almost left disappointed without a model. However my eyes saw under some models a model which looks like a super chase. I could not believe my eyes. My first Super Chase since years and after visiting at least 100 times toy shops etc. Then I remembered that someone told me that there are always 3 super chases in the same box (when they are in a box). So I started to dig in the in the bunch and I found indeed a second one and even the third one. Then I realised in the bin there were at least 2 full boxes and may be three. So I started digging further and yes I found another and another and another...in total I had 8. Could not believe my eyes....
	So to day to another small DIRK at 30 km. Indeed they had the same models but no super chase. Left without buying a model and went to another small DIRK. And yes I found the same 2014 wave with the super chase still and another one and another one..... So its indeed a fact. If you find one you find 3 in an unopened box. Whoever decided with Mattel to put 3 or 4 super chases in the same box has or been sleeping or not interested in collectors or no common sense of something called marketing or the combination of the three.... Coming home I listened to my favorite song of Arita Franklin...What a difference a day makes...
So message to my Dutch Friends: Go and find yourself a Dirk
