Ford Thunderbird 1955
The Thunderbird was initially designed to compete against the popular Corvette. The Thunderbird image was one of being a luxury personal car but with sporting capabilities. The 1955 Thunderbird was fitted with a V8 engine, which developed 198 BHP. Speed was paramount. The car was capable of up to 60 MPH (100 KPH) in 11 seconds and a fantastic speed at the end of four hundred meters of 76 MPH or 120 KPH.
