Austin Mini Cooper 1964
Without the Suez crisis of 1964 we would probably never had a 'Mini'-car. After problems with the Petrol supply out of the Middle East the car industry moved to smaller cars. Austin Chief Constructor Alex Issigonis presented the Mini Car, which was smaller, lighter, easy to handle but above more economic in the usage of petrol. Although only 3 meters long and 1.35 meter high, it could carry 4 to 5 people. The Space Miracle was born!
